About Mental Health Treatment Court
Mental Health Treatment Court is a specialty court program that provides an alternative to traditional prosecution for individuals whose criminal behavior is linked to mental illness. Through collaboration between the courts, mental health providers, and community partners, we help participants get the treatment they need while holding them accountable.
Our ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) team wraps around participants with intensive support—peers, therapists, case managers—meeting people where they are and addressing barriers like housing, employment, and insurance.
The program has graduated numerous participants who have gone on to reconnect with family, start businesses, complete education, and become productive members of their communities. It's hard work, but the results change lives.
