Our commitment
Western Arkansas Counseling and Guidance Center is committed to making its website and services accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard used across healthcare and government.
What we do on this site
- Text and background colors chosen to stay readable at high and low contrast
- Pages that work with a keyboard alone, without a mouse
- Headings and landmarks structured so screen readers can navigate them
- Descriptive text on meaningful images
- Layouts that reflow on phones and tablets and stay usable when text is enlarged
- Forms with clear labels and plain-language error messages
Accessibility is not a one-time project. We review the site as we add pages and fix problems as we find them.
Accommodations at our locations
Our services are available to everyone regardless of disability. At no cost to you, we can provide:
- Qualified sign language interpreters
- Written material in large print, audio, or other formats
- Interpretation and translated materials in other languages
- Assistance completing forms and paperwork
If you are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability, you can reach any of our numbers through the free Arkansas Relay Service by dialing 711.
To request an accommodation, call us at (479) 452-6650 or ask any staff member. Please give us as much notice as you can so we can have the right support ready.
Known limitations
Some content on this site comes from outside providers, such as embedded maps, videos, and our online donation and job application tools. We do not control how those are built, and they may not fully meet our standard. If one of them blocks you, call us and we will help you do the same thing over the phone or in person.
Tell us about a barrier
If you run into a page you cannot use, we want to know. Tell us the page you were on and what happened, and we will work to fix it and get you what you needed in the meantime.
