		OUTDOOR ADVENTURE THERAPY provides opportunities to improve decision-making and problem solving skills through team building and trust exercises. Adolescents learn to work as individuals and as team members in completing the exercises and meeting the goals they have set. Recovery and self-esteem issues are thoroughly addressed. Anyone may refer to the program. Confidential pre-admission evaluations are available for adolescents age 13 to 18. The adolescent will then be assessed during a one or two day evaluation to determine eligibility for placement. Several payment methods are accepted including Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance. Horizon is coeducational.

		Facilities Horizon is located in the Travis Miles Treatment Center, a state-of-the-art, smoke-free facility, licensed for a residential capacity of 24 adolescents. As a program of the Western Arkansas Counseling and Guidance Center, Horizon has access to a comprehensive network of behavioral healthcare services.
