The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is a national, non-profit organization sponsored locally by the Western Arkansas Counseling & Guidance Center, Inc. It provides people age 55 and older with an opportunity to use the skills they spent a lifetime acquiring, in meaningful volunteer activities. RSVP conducts recognition events for members of the program. This is our way of saying “Thank you” to the people who donate their time and talents to help their Arkansas communities and it provides an opportunity for our members to socialize with other active seniors. Members of RSVP receive a bi-monthly newsletter that contains information about events and programs of interest. The local website of Westark RSVP www.WestArkRSVP.com provides a catalog of volunteer opportunities. RSVP provides free limited supplemental insurance to registered members that is in effect while they are on their volunteer assignments.
