Community Relations serves as the foundation of the Western Arkansas Counseling and Guidance Center's prevention services and weaves behavioral healthcare education and information services into the fabric of the communities served by the Center. Community Relations makes available to the community agencies the expertise of community behavioral health center staff to broaden and enrich their programs; and simultaneously furthers the influence and impact of the Center. As part of an organization focused on providing consumer-centered care, the Communication Plan is responsive to the changing needs of the Center's consumers. Recognizing that everyone is unique in many ways, the Communication Plan fosters the use of creative options in providing public information and education, as well as consumer education on all aspects of behavioral healthcare services, including methods for accessing emergent, acute and routine care. |
