University Counseling Clinic

The Counseling Clinic at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith supports the University of Arkansas' mission by enabling students to maximize their educational experience through counseling and psychotherapy.

Counseling is viewed as a form of learning whereby students learn effective means of relating to others, understanding and dealing with their emotions, setting appropriate goals, making healthy decisions, resolving inner conflicts, developing independence, increasing self-confidence and self-esteem, and selecting a suitable life direction.

Office Hours

Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Closed for Lunch 12 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Smith Pendergraft Health Science Building - Room 312.

Cost

There is no charge to currently enrolled students for counseling services up to eight sessions per year.

How to Schedule An Appointment            

Call 479-788-7398 to schedule a confidential appointment.  Walk-in appointments will be accommodated if possible.  

Staff

The clinic is staffed with a  licensed mental health professional and a receptionist during normal business hours.
