The Drug & Alcohol Safety Education Program (DASEP) provides classes for persons convicted of a DUI/DWI/MIP convictions. These classes are taught at all six of the Guidance Center service locations in Crawford, Franklin, Logan, Polk, Scott and Sebastian counties.
Arkansas law requires a pre-sentencing screening report for offenders. DASEP staff conducts the screening at the local courts of the counties served(see list above). If an offender is found guilty, they are required to attend a DASEP class or a state approved treatment program.
The fee for the classes is $150. Attendees must prepay before classes begin.
Payment of cash, cashiers check or money orders are accepted at the Fort Smith Clinic only which is located at 3111 South 70th Street in Fort Smith during the hours of 8:30 am-12:00 Noon and 1:00 pm-4:30 pm, Monday-Friday.
