Western Arkansas Counseling and Guidance Center is a non-profit, private, tax-exempt corporation.  It is one of more than 600 Community Behavioral Health Centers throughout the United States and one of 15 in Arkansas. We are also a member of the National Council of Community Behavioral Healthcare.

As part of the Mental Health Council of Arkansas (MHCA), The Guidance Center supports community based treatment which focuses on the whole person with emphasis on physical, mental and emotional wellness and by promoting the comprehensive diagnostic, treatment, and wrap around services.

The Guidance Center provides a full range of services to care for all aspects of mental health.  The services of the team approach are available to any individual client who requires the services of a psychiatrist, a clinical social worker, a mental health counselor, a psychologist, a speech pathologist, a psychiatric nurse, occupational/activity therapists or case managers.

Western Arkansas Counseling and Guidance Center is accredited by CARF which is the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities.  It is an international, not-for-profit organization that accredits human services providers.

As an approved community mental health center, the Guidance Center provides a range of coordinated behavioral health services to help prevent mental illness and to treat the emotionally disturbed.  These services are available to residents of Crawford, Franklin, Logan, Polk, Scott, and Sebastian.
